Tips On How To Stay
Hydrated This Summer
For the hottest season of the year, we need to remember how important it is to keep ourselves quenched and prepared for this heat! Especially since the past few years have been unusually hotter, due to climate change. So here are some tips on how to stay consistent on your water consumption, and what to avoid when it comes to dehydration.
- Try to keep a water bottle or glass jar with you throughout the day (because out of sight, out of mind). So find your favorite reusable container or jug and keep it close-by.
- Monitor your caffeine and alcohol intake, and this one is important if you don’t want your brain to feel like a dried up a** raisin after your morning routine or fiesta lol. These two things are fine in moderation, they can however lead to dehydration (which is what we don’t want ever, especially during the summer time). Just make sure you are rehydrating before your morning coffee, tea, or after a nice cold brew (for you 21+ folks of course).
- And last, but not least! You can add flavor to your water by adding spices, fresh herbs, sliced fruits or berries to avoid soda or heavily sweetened beverages. Feel free to add a wedge of lemon or sliced cucumbers to enhance the taste if you get bored of just drinking plain water everyday. This is also a great skin care hack that can leave your skin looking and feeling more hydrated and supple.
Remember friends, drink more water because it’s good for you!
